PIGSquad Narrative Summer Jam 2023
I worked with a team of 7 people for 2 weeks to create a narrative based game. I was one of 3 programmers on the team and I learned a lot in that short amount of time. I learned how to work with a programming team, communicate clearly and effectively.
The moment I am most proud of through this experience was a revelation I had on week 2. My team was very enthusiastic, creating concept art, creating level ideas, it was exciting to see. But after talking with one of the other programmers about our progress, I realized we needed to shrink the scope of the game dramatically if we wanted to submit a finished demo. I sent out a message that effectively expressed my concerns while still applauding everyone for the work they had done. The team handed the message well and we created a demo that we were all proud of.
